Job summary

Saildrone is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to join our European Fleet Management team in Denmark. You will ensure reliability, performance, and readiness of our autonomous surface vehicles across production and global deployment.

You will diagnose complex hardware and software issues, drive root-cause analysis, and collaborate with Engineering for scalable, safe operations. Expect up to 30% travel and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years in embedded systems, robotics, or autonomous hardware.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics to resolve complex hardware, software and networking issues.
• Own technical outcomes for vehicles, including SLIs, SLOs and readiness.
• Coordinate root-cause analysis for field failures and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design teams to evaluate solutions via system integration testing.
• Support global deployments, with travel up to 30%.
• Participate in on-call rotations for real-time troubleshooting.
• Develop clear work instructions and process standards for scalable operations.
• Maintain records and inventories while improving safety/work standards.
