RENTEQ ApS in Dragør, Denmark is hiring for two software roles focused on embedded control software for electric vehicles. You will learn the system, work with CAN and hardware, and help ship software from Simulink to C/C++.

Do you want to help create software that runs in real vehicles in your very first week? RENTEQ Automotive is looking for two software people who are curious, learn fast and want to try their hand at a bit of everything. You do not need to be a specialist or have many years of experience. What matters most is that you are adaptable and eager to learn.
RENTEQ Automotive is a Danish company at the forefront of electrifying existing diesel machines and vehicles. We convert everything from vans to dumpers and excavators, and all the vehicles run on control software we develop ourselves. We are a growing startup with short decision paths, a small team, and our workshop and offices under one roof in Dragør.
Our software developers are never far from the product. The workshop is right next door, and the changes you make in the morning can be tested in a vehicle in the afternoon. We are a small team where everyone helps each other, and you will quickly work closely with engineers, mechanics and management.
We do not expect you to know everything from day one. You will get time to learn our system, and support from colleagues working with CAN, embedded software, high voltage and testing. In return, we expect you to be curious, ask questions and be keen to get stuck in.
You will start by getting to know our system: how the vehicles are controlled, how the software is structured, and how it all ties together with CAN and hardware. After that, you will become part of the daily software work and help develop the system further. Our control software is currently built in Simulink, and we are moving parts of it to C/C++, so you will work with both.
Your tasks will include:
We are looking for broad profiles rather than specialists. You may be a recent graduate or have a few years of experience. What matters most is that you have a good foundation and a desire to learn.
It is a plus if you have tried some of the following, but it is not a requirement:
Salary is set individually based on gender neutral criteria: education, work experience and other qualifications. We are happy to share the salary range for your profile before the first interview.
