Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Data Technician Apprentice to help build and maintain software platforms powering wind farms worldwide. You will automate server provisioning, configure Windows and Linux servers, and develop Python scripts, while learning about enterprise platforms and delivery pipelines.

You will work alongside experienced engineers in a Platform Engineering team focused on automation, security, and scalable IT operations across renewables.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux, Python, virtualization, automation, or networking through personal or educational projects.
• An analytical mindset and a structured approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Automate server provisioning and configuration using Ansible.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
• Develop automation scripts and tools in Python.
• Support and maintain VMware-based virtual infrastructure.
