Job description

Are you our new Student Analyst in our Analytics & Modelling team?

Do you want to learn how investment decisions are made and have a hand in the numbers behind them?

Our Analytics & Modelling team sits at the analytical heart of Momentum Energy Group. We are behind much of the group's financial modelling, management reporting and business performance analyses, and the models we build support real business decisions.

As a Student Analyst, you will gain hands‑on experience with our financial models and contribute to analyses of investments and business performance. This work feeds the reporting and other material presented to committees, senior management and the Board.

Momentum Energy Group develops, invests in, owns and operates renewable energy assets across Denmark, Germany and Sweden. We are one of Denmark's largest owners of onshore wind and a fast-growing force in the green transition, with a development pipeline spanning wind, solar, BESS and hybrid projects. With our innovative approach to renewable energy, we deliver tailored solutions for renewable assets to push boundaries in recycling and refurbishment, and we continue to lead the way in accelerating the transition to clean energy.

What are your tasks?

You will work hands‑on with our financial models and data flows from day one, starting with the recurring work that keeps them accurate and taking on more independent analyses as you grow. Of course, we’ll provide thorough training, and you’ll have the team's support available.

Your tasks will typically include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing financial models used for investments in operating renewable assets and our pipeline of development projects.
  • Reviewing and updating model assumptions and performing scenario and sensitivity analyses.
  • Supporting recurring reporting to committees, senior management and the Board, while helping to improve the underlying processes and setup, including automation where relevant.
  • Conducting various ad‑hoc analyses related to the ongoing business and preparing high‑quality presentations for senior management and the Board.
  • Collaborating closely with our business units, finance and other internal stakeholders.

Who are you?

You are an analytical person who enjoys solving problems and working with data. You are happy to ask questions, have a strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and take ownership of your tasks.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or in the first year of a master's degree within finance, economics, engineering with a finance focus, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong Excel skills and a genuine interest in financial modelling.
  • A strong analytical mindset and a structured, detail‑oriented way of working.
  • A team player who enjoys cross-collaboration across the organisation.
  • Solid communication skills with fluency in English, both written and spoken.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you also have:

  • Prior work experience from a relevant role.
  • An interest in energy markets and renewable energy.
  • Proficiency in Danish
  • Experience with, or an interest in, automating and improving manual and recurring processes.

Practical information

  • Workplace: our new office in Roskilde,
  • Working hours: 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility around exams and study activities and also the possibility for more hours when possible and needed
  • Start date: as soon as possible.

What we offer

At Momentum, we put people first, both professionally and personally. You will work on projects with tangible impact, learn financial modelling and analysis on real cases, and get guidance from experienced colleagues in a supportive, ambitious environment. Benefits include flexible hours around your studies and a healthy lunch and fruit scheme. You can expect a steep learning curve and real responsibility from early on, and we look forward to hearing your ideas.

You will join a small, dynamic team of 3 where new ideas quickly turn into action, and where your work is visible at the highest levels of the company. There is real room to grow, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as you develop.

Do you want to be a part of the journey?

At Momentum, we believe that diversity strengthens our team. We therefore encourage everyone—regardless of gender, age, background, or culture—to apply for this position.
