Nitor Energy is seeking a Student Software Developer who will help build and improve trading systems and analytics tools. You will work directly with traders and analysts, taking ownership of tasks from requirements through deployment and learning the domain.

The role offers hands-on exposure, mentoring and the chance to grow into a full-time position in a fast-moving energy trading company based in Aarhus.

Qualifikationen

• Studying for a degree in Computer Science or related field with no more than a year remaining.
• Strong programming fundamentals and a practical, curious approach to problem solving.
• Exposure to C#/.NET/ASP.NET Core, TypeScript/React, MS SQL, Azure or Python; learning ability welcomed.
• Enjoy teamwork, open communication, and learning from feedback.
• Take responsibility for tasks and seek improvements.

As a student, you'll be part of these conversations, learning to ask good questions, test ideas, get feedback quickly and see the impact of your work.

What you'll be doing

• Build and improve internal trading systems, analytical tools, dashboards and alerts alongside experienced developers.
• Integrate, process and make market data available from external vendors.
• Take on well-scoped development tasks, from understanding requirements to implementation, testing, review and deployment.
• Work directly with traders and analysts to understand their workflows, gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
• Learn what it takes to build reliable, maintainable software - including shared data models, traceability, performance and system operations.
• Explore approved AI-assisted development tools responsibly and verify the code and outputs you use.

What we're looking for

• You're studying for a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, with no more than a year remaining, and are interested in a potential full-time future at Nitor.
• You have good programming fundamentals and a practical, curious approach to solving problems.
• You've had exposure to some of our stack - C# (.NET/ASP.NET Core), TypeScript/React, Microsoft SQL, Azure or Python - or are motivated to learn it. You don't need experience with all of them.
• You enjoy working with others, communicate openly, ask for help when needed and learn from feedback.
• You take responsibility for your tasks, follow through and look for ways to make things better.
