Job summary

Clear. is seeking an experienced Electrical Appointed Person (AP) to support major engineering projects in a safety-critical environment in Denmark.

The role focuses on implementing Electrical Safe Systems of Work, issuing permits for energised activities, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures across site operations. Responsibilities

• Work with SAP to implement Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
• Issue and control permits for energised electrical activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures on site.
• Manage electrical safety documentation and LOTO procedures.
• Support start-up, testing, commissioning and energisation.
• Review drawings and distribution layouts before commissioning.
• Coordinate and witness testing, ensuring documentation meets requirements.
• Liaise with testing/commissioning contractors and project teams.
• Attend daily commissioning meetings to support planning.
• Verify test equipment calibration before use.

I’m currently looking for an experienced Electrical Appointed Person to support the delivery of major engineering projects within a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the SAP to implement and maintain Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
• Issue, manage and control permits for energised electrical working activities.
• Ensure all site personnel understand and comply with electrical safety procedures and operational rules.
• Manage electrical safety documentation, isolations and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Support LV system start-up, testing, commissioning and energisation in line with agreed safety plans.
• Review electrical drawings, project specifications and distribution system layouts ahead of commissioning.
• Coordinate and witness testing activities, ensuring all results and documentation meet project requirements.
• Liaise with testing and commissioning contractors, control system providers and wider project teams.
• Attend daily commissioning and progress meetings to support planning, sequencing and project delivery.
• Ensure all test equipment is available, suitable and correctly calibrated before use.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working as an Electrical (AP) Appointed Person within mission critical construction, engineering or commissioning environments.
• A strong understanding of Electrical Safe Systems of Work, electrical safety rules and permit-to-work procedures.
• Experience with LV electrical systems, testing, commissioning and energisation.
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures, electrical protection and distribution systems.
• The ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
