Job summary

PhaseTree, a Copenhagen-based materials discovery company, seeks an ambitious AI Scientist to lead the design and deployment of state-of-the-art generative models for inorganic materials. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to accelerate the discovery pipeline and move models from concept to industrial applications, with opportunities to publish and contribute to a fast-growing start-up.

• Proven capability in generative AI and a passion for scientific applications.
• Technical proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks.
• Experience applying generative models to scientific domains, preferably in materials science.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse teams.
• Strong self-starter mentality with attention to detail in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced generative models, focusing on autoregressive, diffusion-, and flow-based ML models.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of materials scientists, computer scientists, and scientific software developers.
• Solve complex, real-world problems in materials design, speeding up the discovery process.
