Job summary

DTU Engineering Technology is inviting applications for a 3-year PhD position focused on data-driven design and analysis of architected materials. The PhD project aims to establish a rigorous, data-centric framework for designing ordered and disordered cellular materials using virtual structure generation, mechanics, and interpretable learning techniques.

Qualifications

• We are looking for a motivated and ambitious PhD student with experience in solid mechanics, materials, numerical techniques, and machine learning algorithms.
• A Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field is expected.

Responsibilities

• Generative design of cellular architected materials.
• Multi-fidelity computational modeling.
• Graph representation learning and explainability.
• Active dissemination of results in scientific articles and at conferences.
• Supervision of B.Eng., B.Sc., and M.Sc. students where applicable.
