At Novonesis, we believe biology holds the key to solving some of the world's biggest challenges. To accelerate this mission, we are strengthening our digital and AI capabilities across Product & Process Development (PPD).
You will join the newly formed Digital Enablement Team within PPD, an organization of more than 400 employees across six director areas and more than 10 geographical locations. The team brings together expertise in digital implementation, data engineering, AI and the wider PPD data landscape to support scientists and business functions across the organization.
Together, we will build a strong digital foundation, establish new ways of working and create practical solutions that help scientists work more efficiently and effectively. By partnering closely with local digital teams, scientists and platform experts, we enable the adoption of scalable digital and AI solutions that create value across PPD.
As an AI Engineer, you will develop and implement AI-enabled scientific workflows that help transform how research and development is conducted across Novonesis. This role combines hands‑on execution with innovation, requiring both strong technical capabilities and close collaboration with scientific stakeholders. You will play a key role in translating scientific challenges into practical AI solutions that are scalable, maintainable and aligned with Novonesis enterprise platforms and data foundations.
Experience working in scientific R&D or laboratory environments would be an advantage, as would hands‑on experience with agentic AI, generative AI, and LLM‑based workflows. Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms and large‑scale AI implementations is beneficial, particularly when combined with an understanding of data platforms that support scientific and research operations. Candidates with an interest in applying emerging AI technologies to solve complex scientific challenges will thrive in this environment.
This is an opportunity to help shape a newly established team at the intersection of science, data, and AI. You will work alongside talented colleagues across multiple disciplines while contributing to initiatives that have impact on a global R&D organization.
In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to influence how AI is applied within scientific research and development while collaborating closely with scientists, digital specialists, AI experts, and data engineers across Novonesis. You will be part of a collaborative environment focused on learning, innovation, and continuous improvement, with access to enterprise‑scale platforms and capabilities that support your professional growth. As the team continues to evolve, you will also play an important role in defining new ways of working and establishing best practices for AI adoption across PPD.
The position is based in Bagsværd, Denmark, and operates within an office‑first hybrid work model. Onsite collaboration plays an important role in understanding scientific workflows, building strong stakeholder relationships, and working closely with colleagues across the organization. At the same time, we offer flexibility to work from home when compatible with team and project needs. Limited travel may be required depending on project activities and stakeholder engagement.
