Job summary

EG Ajour seeks a Software Architect to shape the technical direction and define the AI strategy, reducing complexity for the development team.

You will work closely with developers, Product Owner and Product Manager to translate requirements into scalable designs and lead architectural decisions with a focus on security, performance and value delivery. This role offers ownership from day one and a path to grow AI capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong AI understanding and active daily use in engineering work.
• Extensive software design, development and architecture experience.
• Experience solving problems with significant data complexity.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong communication to explain complex ideas to developers and stakeholders.
• Interest in coaching and mentoring developers and collaborative solution-building.
• Commercial awareness of how architecture affects customer value.
• Willingness to work in an international team.
• Fluent in Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Design and own scalable, maintainable software architecture that the development team can realistically scope and deliver.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear designs, and explain reasoning to developers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Define and implement the AI strategy for Ajour, with goal within first 6 months.
• Own the technical roadmap and reduce codebase complexity using AI within first year.
• Coach and support developers from design through code review; partner with Product Manager on feasibility and scalability.
• Own quality, security and performance of the architecture and lead documented architectural reviews.
