Job summary

Balance is an AI-native accounting firm for startups and growing SMBs, with offices in Copenhagen and London. As a Finance Consultant you’ll own a portfolio of clients from end to end: e-commerce brands, software startups, hospitality and professional services firms.

You’re their dedicated accountant and the first person they message when something looks off. You’ll work alongside our AI, not underneath a pile of data entry.

Qualifications

• Experience with audit, outsourcing or client accounting.
• Enjoy working with clients and explaining the numbers.
• Able to spot mis-booked entries and fix them promptly.
• Ambitious with a growth mindset.
• Fluent in Danish and English.
• Bonus: HD(R) or cand.merc.aud and experience with Xero, e-conomic or Business Central.

Responsibilities

• Own your clients' books from end to end and sign off on entries.
• Close the month for your portfolio efficiently.
• Handle VAT, management reporting and year-end prep as needed.
• Be the trusted advisor to founders and answer key business questions.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve the product based on real-world use.
