Agentic AI Deployment Engineer

Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise environments. You will work with a Deployment Strategist to co-build solutions that go live from day one, spanning configuration, customization, and full-stack deployment.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and product teams, shipping real code with measurable business impact while exploring frontier AI tools and models.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system you can walk us through.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering).
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex and willing to add more.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering; can explain failures and fixes.
• Understanding data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns to design them, not just consume.
• Able to hold your own with sales teams and customer architects.
• Ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
• Tinker with evolving AI/data landscape; pilot new tools and models.
• Thrive in group chats building something, not just talking about it.
• Willing to travel ~25% of the time, working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agentic solutions that ship into production environments for enterprise customers.
• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to production deployment.
• Build and maintain data pipelines across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
• Create agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting to track deployment health and outcomes.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs moving from sketch to deployable in days.
• Co-build with customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement.
• Surface platform gaps and provide product feedback to senior engineers and the product team.
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
