Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise environments. You will partner with a Deployment Strategist to co-build production deployments from day one across large or multiple accounts.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in software engineering or technical delivery, a CS degree, and hands-on experience with LLMs, data modeling, and APIs. Willingness to travel ~25% and strong client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system you'd be proud to walkthrough.
Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience is required.
Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
Ability to travel ~25% of the time.

Responsibilities

Develop AI agent solutions and experiences deployed in customer environments.
Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to production.
Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
Create agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting for deployment health.
Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs moving from sketch to deployment in days.
Co-build with customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement.
Surface platform gaps and provide feedback to senior engineers and product teams.
Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into deployable solutions.
