Job summary

GN Store Nord A/S is seeking a Research Scientist to advance dynamic, adaptive neural networks for hearing aids in the Global Research team. You will explore how networks adapt to changing acoustic conditions while maintaining speech clarity and natural listening experience.

You will collaborate with audiologists, algorithm developers and product teams across our organization to translate concepts into demonstrators and future hearing-aid technologies.

Qualifications

• Hold a PhD or bring an equivalent research background in audio signal processing, machine learning or related field.
• Bring expertise in deep learning for speech and audio processing, supported by a solid foundation in digital signal processing.
• Have experience with speech enhancement, noise reduction, source separation or related audio applications.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop dynamic, adaptive and scalable neural-network approaches for hearing-aid signal processing.
• Design algorithms for real-time speech enhancement, noise reduction and acoustic-scene analysis.
• Develop methods that adapt model capacity and routing to the acoustic situation and listening needs.
• Balance speech intelligibility, sound quality, latency, memory footprint and power consumption for hearing-aid deployment.
• Investigate robust decision mechanisms that respond to changes in noise and acoustic environments.
• Evaluate algorithms through objective measures and listening-oriented evaluation.
• Collaborate with research and development colleagues to mature concepts into demonstrators.
