Job summary

Maersk is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Global Service Centers in the Americas, driving IFRS-compliant accounting and financial reporting across a global network. You will lead finance teams, manage internal controls, prepare board packs, and support audits while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate results.

The role requires intermediate to advanced English, 7+ years in accounting and reporting, 3–4 years in leadership, and a certified

Qualifications

• Intermediate to Advanced English level required.
• 7 years' experience in accounting and reporting.
• 3-4 years' experience in leadership roles.
• Certified Accountant or equivalent degree in finance and accounting (or alternate finance).
• Control Framework and IFRS experience (added advantage).
• Proactive, analytical and structured mindset.
• Ability to adapt to high workload and unplanned activities.
• Exposure to global accounting process, Audit, IFRS, and guidelines.
• Stakeholder management and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Risk and Control Environment: Ensure robust risk and control environment, including reporting and developing internal control processes.
• Performs analysis, including NOPAT, and reviews balance sheet reconciliations. Responsible for all periodic tax filings.
• Ensures that General Ledger accounting and Financial / Management Reporting is done in accordance with IFRS and APMM GAP.
• Statutory Accounting and Audit: Takes care of statutory accounting and provides responses to all audit-related queries.
• Board Pack Preparation.
• Manages the preparation of Board Packs.
