Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on Windows Server administrator in Germany to manage vulnerability remediation, patch deployment, and configuration hardening across Windows Server environments. You will work under formal change control and collaborate with security teams using Qualys, while using SCCM/MECM to test and deploy updates and maintain patch- compliance metrics.

The role favors candidates with healthcare IT exposure and relevant certifications (Windows Server, Security+, ITIL Foundation).

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years hands-on Windows Server administration in production.
• Experience performing changes under formal change control with rollback planning and validation.
• Hands-on use of Qualys Vulnerability Management for remediation closure.
• Healthcare IT experience strongly preferred.
• Certifications in Windows Server, Security+, ITIL Foundation or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on vulnerability remediation, patch deployment, and secure configuration hardening for Windows Server environments.
• Ensure remediation is executed within formal change control.
• Review Qualys Vulnerability Management findings for Windows servers and define remediation plans.
• Test and deploy patches using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Create new Software Update Groups each month for workstations and servers.
• Schedule and configure deployments for new Software Update Groups.
• Implement Windows Server hardening baselines including security configuration standards.
• Validate remediation closure through health checks and Qualys rescans.
• Troubleshoot patch failures and service impacts; support restoration and root cause analysis.
• Maintain operational metrics for patch compliance and vulnerability aging.

Requirements

• Three or more years of direct, hands‑on Windows Server administration and patching in production environments.
• Experience executing changes under formal change control with rollback planning and post‑change validation.
• Hands‑on experience using Qualys Vulnerability Management for validation and remediation closure.
• Hospital information technology experience strongly preferred; broader healthcare experience preferred.
• Certifications highly desirable: Microsoft Windows Server certifications, CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.
• Participation in scheduled after‑hours maintenance windows as required.
