Zusammenfassung

AMBOSS is seeking a Working Student to support the Legal team in Berlin. You will help with contract organization, vendor filing, and routine checks, assist with privacy tasks, and gain practical experience drafting simple partnership agreements.

You will also conduct basic civil and IP law research and grow in a small team. You must be enrolled in a German law programme (5th semester or beyond) with German at C2 and English at C1.

Qualifikationen

• German language proficiency at C2 level.
• English language proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Enrollment in a law programme in Germany, 5th semester or beyond.
• Interest in data protection and awareness of personal data handling.

You will:

• Contract and operations support: Help keep our contract landscape organized by categorizing vendors, setting up and maintaining a clean filing system, and assisting with routine contract checks using standard checklists

• Getting hands-on with Privacy: Assist our privacy team with foundational tasks, such as performing first-pass reviews on new vendors and processing activities

• Partnership: Gain practical drafting experience by helping create simple partnership agreements (e.g., with student associations) from initial draft to signature

• General legal research: Support the team on everyday questions around civil law, IP, and content usage — from trademark basics to copyright guidelines.

• Growth and learning: Gradually take on small, routine tasks independently over your first few months

You bring:

• You are enrolled in a law programme in Germany and in your 5th semester or beyond (we're open on where in Germany you study and are located)

• German at C2 level and English at C1 or above: our contracts and counterparties are largely German, our company language is English, and you'll move between both daily

• An interest in data protection: you don't need to be a GDPR expert, but you should be the kind of person who notices when something touches personal data and asks about it

• First exposure to or genuine interest in civil law and IP law: whether from your studies or a previous role

• A structured, reliable way of working: the kind of person who finishes the filing, not just the interesting part of the task

• Clear, precise writing: you'll draft and comment on contracts that other AMBOSSians rely on

You enjoy:

• You work independently and with ambition, but in close collaboration with a team of three seniors — you don't need someone checking in on you to make progress

• You pick things up hands-on and want to keep growing beyond the tasks you already know

• You have good judgement about what you can decide yourself and what needs the owner of a senior team member and you'd rather ask once too often than once too little

• You're curious about how legal work connects to the commercial side of a business, and you want to see contracts in their real context rather than only in a seminar
