Zusammenfassung

AMBOSS is looking for a Working Student to support the Legal team in Berlin. You will review vendor contracts, classify agreements, and assist with data protection tasks alongside our Legal Counsels.

You bring legal study in Germany (5th semester+), German (C2) and English (C1+), and a genuine interest in civil and IP law. You work structured and write precisely with three seniors.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a law programme in Germany (5th semester or later)
• Fluent German (C2) and English (C1+)
• Interest in data protection and privacy law
• Some exposure to civil law or IP law is a plus

Aufgaben

• Review smaller vendor contracts and flag items for Legal Counsels
• Classify vendors and organize contract filing
• Assist with DPAs and privacy terms review
• Draft and manage low-level partnership agreements
• Support civil law and IP topics with senior colleagues
• Grow into handling simple B2B cases independently

You Will

• Review smaller vendor contracts: check them against our standard criteria, flag anything that needs a closer look from our Legal Counsels, and take the routine cases through to approval yourself
• Bring structure to our contract landscape: classify vendors into our vendor categories, build a clean filing logic, and make sure every agreement ends up where it belongs instead of in someone's inbox
• Support our data protection work in close collaboration with our Legal Counsel Privacy & IT: reviewing DPAs and vendor privacy terms, keeping our records of processing activities up to date, and flagging where personal data is involved
• Draft and manage low-level partnership agreements with student associations, from first draft to signature
• Support the team on civil law and IP topics, from trademark and copyright questions to content usage
• Grow into handling simple B2B cases independently over your first months with us

You Bring

• You are enrolled in a law programme in Germany and in your 5th semester or beyond - we're open on where in Germany you study and are located
• German at C2 level and English at C1 or above: our contracts and counterparties are largely German, our company language is English, and you'll move between both daily
• An interest in data protection - you don't need to be a GDPR expert, but you should be the kind of person who notices when something touches personal data and asks about it
• First exposure to or genuine interest in civil law and IP law, whether from your studies or a previous role
• A structured, reliable way of working: the kind of person who finishes the filing, not just the interesting part of the task
• Clear, precise writing - you'll draft and comment on contracts that other AMBOSSians rely on

You Enjoy

• You work independently and with ambition, but in close collaboration with a team of three seniors - you don't need someone checking in on you to make progress
• You pick things up hands-on and want to keep growing beyond the tasks you already know
• You have good judgement about what you can decide yourself and what needs the owner of a senior team member and you'd rather ask once too often than once too little
• You're curious about how legal work connects to the commercial side of a business, and you want to see contracts in their real context rather than only in a seminar
