AMBOSS in Berlin is seeking a Working Student for the Legal team. You will review vendor contracts, classify vendors, and support data protection work with DPAs and privacy terms.

You will also draft and manage low-level partnership agreements with student associations and assist on civil law and IP topics, growing to handle simple B2B cases independently in the first months.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a law programme in Germany and in your 5th semester or beyond.
• German at C2 level and English at C1 or above.
• Interest in data protection and awareness of personal data handling.
• First exposure to or genuine interest in civil law and IP law.
• Structured, reliable way of working with filing and contracts.

Aufgaben

• Review smaller vendor contracts against standard criteria and route routine cases to approval.
• Classify vendors into categories and organize a clean filing system.
• Support data protection work with Privacy & IT: DPAs and privacy terms, processing activity records.
• Draft and manage low-level partnership agreements with student associations from draft to signature.
• Assist on civil law and IP topics, including trademarks and content usage.
• Grow to handle simple B2B cases independently in early months.

You will:

• Review smaller vendor contracts: check them against our standard criteria, flag anything that needs a closer look from our Legal Counsels, and take the routine cases through to approval yourself
• Bring structure to our contract landscape: classify vendors into our vendor categories, build a clean filing logic, and make sure every agreement ends up where it belongs instead of in someone’s inbox
• Support our data protection work in close collaboration with our Legal Counsel Privacy & IT: reviewing DPAs and vendor privacy terms, keeping our records of processing activities up to date, and flagging where personal data is involved
• Draft and manage low-level partnership agreements with student associations, from first draft to signature
• Support the team on civil law and IP topics, from trademark and copyright questions to content usage
• Grow into handling simple B2B cases independently over your first months with us

You bring:

• You are enrolled in a law programme in Germany and in your 5th semester or beyond — we’re open on where in Germany you study and are located
• German at C2 level and English at C1 or above: our contracts and counterparties are largely German, our company language is English, and you’ll move between both daily
• An interest in data protection — you don’t need to be a GDPR expert, but you should be the kind of person who notices when something touches personal data and asks about it
• First exposure to or genuine interest in civil law and IP law, whether from your studies or a previous role
• A structured, reliable way of working: the kind of person who finishes the filing, not just the interesting part of the task
• Clear, precise writing — you’ll draft and comment on contracts that other AMBOSSians rely on

You enjoy:

• You work independently and with ambition, but in close collaboration with a team of three seniors — you don’t need someone checking in on you to make progress
