Job summary

Core Metal is seeking an experienced Welding Engineer (m/f/d) to support production at a piping plant in Könnern. The role focuses on providing technical support and overseeing welding production on-site, ensuring compliance with welding procedures, standards, project specs, and quality requirements.

You will collaborate with production, welding technicians, and QA/QC, drive welding quality improvements, and participate in fault analysis and optimization of welding machines and parameters.

Qualifications

• Engineer with IWE or IWT certification.
• Hands-on TIG, SMAW and plasma welding experience.
• Fluent in German with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and monitoring of welding operations during manufacturing.
• Monitor welding parameters and process conditions.
• Ensure work follows approved construction procedures.
• Conduct or assist with quality inspections during welding.
• Assist with fault analysis and optimization of welding machines and parameters.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Welding Engineer (m/f/d) for our client to support production at a piping plant in Könnern.

The focus of the position is on providing technical support and overseeing welding production on-site. You will ensure that welding work is performed in accordance with approved welding procedures, applicable standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.

In doing so, you will work closely with production, welding technicians, and the QA/QC department, and actively support efforts to ensure and continuously improve welding quality.

Duration:12 months with possibility of extension

• Ensuring that work is performed in accordance with approved construction procedures

• Assisting with fault analysis and optimization of welding machines and welding parameters
  

Profile required

• Engineer (IWE) or International Welding Technologist (IWT)
• Practical experience with TIG, SMAW, and plasma welding
• Good communication skills in German, ability to work independently and in a structured manner
• Practical experience in pipeline fabrication, pipe production, or industrial fabrication
