Hypersonica GmbH in Munich is building Europe's hypersonic capability and seeks a systems engineer to own weapon system integration and interfaces.

Join a small elite team; you will develop test plans, run trade-offs, and support technical reviews while operating autonomously.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on weapon integration, aerospace, or complex kinetic systems.
• Proven track record of managing hardware/software interfaces and keeping a multi-disciplinary team aligned.
• Ability to distil key parameters from analytical data to influence system effectiveness.
• Thrives in a high-pace, startup-like environment; can build processes from scratch.
• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead weapon system integration: own full integration of our effects solutions into the overall system.
• Manage interfaces: own critical connections between payload and the rest of the system.
• Execute system trade-offs: lead cross-functional analysis balancing requirements and constraints; present outcomes.
• Develop test & evaluation plans: design and lead validation/verification strategy, including external stakeholders.
• Drive design decisions: translate complex data into engineering requirements to optimize flight performance.
• Support technical reviews: assist with PDR/CDR/TRR and flight readiness reviews per defence and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Lead Weapon System Integration: Own the full integration of our effects solutions into the overall system.
• Manage Interfaces: Take ownership of the interfaces that define the critical connections between the payload and the rest of the system.
• Execute System Trade-Offs: Lead cross-functional analysis to balance effectiveness requirements against system constraints, and present outcomes to your team.
• Develop Test & Evaluation Plans: Design and lead the validation and verification strategy for our products, including interaction with external stakeholders.
• Drive Design Decisions: Translate complex data into clear engineering requirements, optimizing the final seconds of flight.
• Support Technical Reviews: Support technical reviews (PDR/CDR/TRR) and flight readiness reviews and ensure compliance with applicable defence and quality standards (e.g. Mil-std, customer specifications).

Who You Are

• You have 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on weapon integration, aerospace, or complex kinetic systems.
• You have a proven track record of managing complex hardware/software interfaces and maintaining the overview to keep a multi-disciplinary team aligned.
• You are comfortable taking analytical data and using it to distil key parameters that influence the entire system's effectiveness.
• You thrive in high-pace, startup-like environments. You can build processes from scratch and navigate ambiguity without losing momentum.
• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
