• Job Type: Full-time and Part Time On Call (On-call: Hourly, flexible = Substitute and replace personnel for planned and unplanned absences. Personnel should be available on short notice)

We have an immediate opening at the Warehouse in Kaiserslautern Army Depot. Do you know general labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials? Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) between locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Present a neat appearance commensurate with that required of a professional
• Minimum Education/Experience of High School diploma or its equivalent with (2-3) years of experience in the field or related area. An equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable
• Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) while moving heavy items from one location to another
• Preferably possess a Forklift license

Job Description

• Perform general labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
• Unpack palletized material and place like items onto separate pallets or into bins to be transported to storage or shipping locations
• Receive a variety of military standard and/or commercial type medical, dental, optical, and veterinary items/materiel together with supporting documentation from Prime Vendors, Depots, registered mail, and local vendors
• Check incoming shipments for completeness, correctness, and proper condition
• Count and segregate material by expiration date and lot number
• Operate motorized material handling equipment (MHE), powered by battery such as a stock selector or forklift trucks to lift loads weighing under 10,000 pounds as high as 15 feet
• Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, motorized pallet jacks, and pushcarts
• Initiate Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) for overages, shortages, incorrect stock numbers, short-dated or expired material, and visual damage caused by transportation
• Work with physical exertions such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stretching, and reaching
• Pack supplies and equipment, including items of a fragile and sensitive nature, in boxes, crates, cartons, or other containers for shipping or storage
• Label palletized material with shipping information
• Occasionally, work swing shifts
