Overview

Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a committed and distinguished personality who will place particular emphasis on researching and developing interreligious and ethical competences.
  • Research and teaching activities focus on the innovative combination of religious and ethical education in the field of tension between positionality and dialogue, especially through the integration of interreligious and ethical topics in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Protestant Theology and Religious Education.
Our expectations
  • Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration in research and teaching within the institute, faculty, university and non‑university research institutions; participation in national and international research projects.
  • Experience with and willingness to acquire third‑party funding.
  • Collaboration in academic self‑administration and scientific organisation.
  • Promotion of employees in the qualification phase.
  • Willingness to contribute to the internationalisation of the university in research, teaching and transfer.
Requirements, § 25 NHG
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • Pedagogical aptitude.
  • Special qualification for in‑depth independent scientific work, as a rule proven by an above‑average doctorate.
  • Additional academic achievements, usually within the framework of a junior professorship, a post‑doctoral degree (Habilitation) or achievements equivalent to a Habilitation.
  • At least three years of practical school experience or suitable pedagogical experience or experience in empirical research appropriate to the tasks.
  • Membership of a member church of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD).
