What you will do

As Director of Finance & Operations (with Procuration), you will be responsible for building and optimizing the infrastructure that powers scalable growth for gitti. You will lead and professionalize our finance and operations functions, act as a strategic challenger, and ensure that every decision is backed by financial rigour and operational excellence. By driving process optimization and cross-functional efficiency, you will create the backbone that enables our expansion across DACH and the US. From day one, you will hold Prokura (power of attorney), with the potential to grow into a Managing Director role as part of the four-eyes principle and backup leadership structure.

YOUR TASKS:
  • Lead financial planning, controlling, and reporting with a growth-driven perspective.
  • Establish KPI frameworks (CAC, LTV, contribution margin, retail sell-through) to guide expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax, audit, and accounting standards across multiple markets.
  • Manage company liquidity, ensuring adequate cash flow, financing of growth initiatives, and optimization of working capital.
  • Provide proactive financial insights to support growth investments and international scaling.
  • Own demand planning, procurement, logistics, and supply chain management for both D2C and retail.
  • Optimize stock levels, fulfillment speed, and cost efficiency to enable rapid growth.
  • Oversee contracts, partnerships, and risk management, particularly in cross-border operations (DACH + US).
  • Safeguard compliance with regulatory and retail partner requirements.
  • Build HR structures that scale with growth (hiring, contracts, payroll, compliance).
  • Actively shape culture and talent development to attract and retain entrepreneurial top talent.
  • Build a best-in-class BI infrastructure to track performance across D2C and retail.
  • Empower data-driven decision-making at all levels of the business.
  • Bring a hands-on mentality to operational challenges, including weekend shipments, critical deliveries, and retail partner requirements.
  • Report directly to our CEO, with power of attorney and future potential as Managing Director.
  • Contact person for our investors and stakeholders.
What we're looking for
  • 10+ years’ experience in Finance, Operations, or General Management, ideally in beauty, fashion, or consumer goods.
  • Proven track record in scaling D2C and retail operations in DACH and/or US markets.
  • Strong consumer & retail expertise to navigate the complexity of our retail partners.
  • Startup experience, embracing agile ways of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong bias for execution and performance.
  • Deep understanding of financial KPIs relevant for growth-driven consumer brands.
