Aven Capital Partners in Hamburg is seeking a VP/Director/Principal to join our investment team. You will lead investments from origination through execution, source opportunities, lead due diligence, structure transactions, and negotiate terms, while working closely with platforms after closing.

Beyond deal execution, you will help shape the fund's strategy, expand our network of founders and advisors, and contribute to building Europe’s next generation of buy-and-build leaders.

Qualifikationen

• At least 2 years in a high-performance environment, such as strategy consulting or investment banking.
• At least 2 years of transaction and due diligence experience.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, transaction execution and investment analysis skills.
• Experience leading commercial, financial and operational due diligence.
• Fluent in German and English.

The opportunity

We're looking for a VP / Director / Principal to join our investment team. The title will reflect your experience and track record. You'll lead investments from origination through execution: sourcing opportunities, leading due diligence, structuring transactions, negotiating terms, and working closely with platforms after closing. Beyond individual deals, help shape Aven's investment strategy, strengthen our network of founders and advisors, and contribute to building the fund itself. You'll work directly with the partners and play an active role in defining how we identify opportunities, create value, and grow the firm. What we're looking for

• At least 2 years in a high-performance environment, such as strategy consulting or investment banking
• At least 2 years of transaction and due diligence experience, ideally at a small or mid-cap private equity fund
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, transaction execution, and investment analysis skills
• Experience leading commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to identify investment opportunities and key risks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working alongside founders, management teams, investors, and advisors
• High level of ownership, curiosity, sound judgement, and attention to detail
• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
• Fluent in both German and English
