We’re looking for an exceptional investor to join Lineage and help us build the leading investment platform for entrepreneurship through acquisition in Europe.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for an exceptional investor to join Lineage and help us build the leading investment platform for entrepreneurship through acquisition in Europe.

You’ll work directly with the Partners and take significant ownership across our investment activities from day one.

What you’ll do

Invest: Lead investments in companies across Europe from first look through closing. Own financial analysis, commercial due diligence, structuring, investment memos and IC discussions. Build your own view and defend it.

Select: Identify and underwrite the next generation of exceptional entrepreneurs. Build relationships with the strongest emerging searchers across Europe and decide who we want to back for the next decade.

Support: Stay close after the investment. Work alongside our entrepreneurs and management teams on strategy, M&A, financing, value creation and the difficult decisions that come with building a business.

Originate: Build relationships across the European ETA, PE and entrepreneurial ecosystem and help ensure the best searchers and opportunities find their way to Lineage.

Build: Help shape how we invest and build Lineage itself. Improve our investment processes, proprietary data and AI native infrastructure and contribute to the long term strategy of the firm.

Who we’re looking for

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience, including meaningful transaction and due diligence exposure
• Ideally experience at a small or mid cap private equity fund, investment bank or similarly demanding investment environment
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, investment analysis and transaction execution skills
• Experience leading commercial, financial and operational due diligence
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to identify what really matters in an investment
• Strong AI competency and hands on experience with the latest tools. Using ChatGPT is the baseline, not the skill.
• Comfortable evaluating people as much as companies
• High ownership, low ego and intellectually curious
• Strong communicator who can build trust with entrepreneurs, management teams, investors and advisors
• Fluent English. German is a plus
• Existing right to work in Germany

This is probably not the right role if you’re looking for another traditional PE seat.

But if you want to lead investments while helping build the firm itself, see a high volume of companies across Europe and work closely with entrepreneurs from search through acquisition and ownership, we’d love to meet you.
