Job Description

In order to support Airbus Commercial Operations, Airbus is looking for a VIE-Germany – Digitalization & Efficiency Project Manager (d/f/m).

• Duration: 24 months
• Definition: VIE

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are of the European Union (all EU nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Tasks and Responsibilities

• Project Support: Help manage project plans, track progress, and prepare reports for digitalization initiatives. You will be a key support for the management team, ensuring that new ways of working are deployed in daily operations.
• Digital Tool Implementation: Assist in the rollout and adoption of new digital tools and platforms such as the 3D cabin configurator, Airbus Analytics platform (Skywise), collaborative artificial intelligence use (e.g., Gemini Gems creation, needs collection), and data management.
• Process Analysis: Work with senior team members to analyze current workflows, identify areas for improvement, and propose digital solutions to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Engage with various teams, including engineering, design, and IT, to gather requirements and ensure seamless collaboration.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest digitalization trends and contribute fresh ideas for innovation and process improvement for the SA Cabin definition team.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business school, engineering school, data analytics or data science or an equivalent field of study.
• Basic knowledge of project management, lean manufacturing and value stream mapping.
• Good knowledge of Python programming (preferably with Pandas or Apache Spark).
• Knowledge of SQL, HTML and CSS is a plus.
• Data exploration and quality monitoring mindset.
• Able to cope with multicultural and international working environment.
• Rigorous, autonomous and with good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Fluent English skills and elementary proficiency in German.
