Overview
Join to apply for the Vice President Sales (m/f/d) role at Höganäs AB. The position leads the CBT (Coating & Brazing Technologies) sales strategy in the EMEA region and reports to the EMEA Market President. You will work with Höganäs’ EMEA Market Management Team and senior leadership to strengthen customer relationships, drive growth, and identify new CBT business opportunities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Responsibilities
- Drive the CBT Sales Strategy in the EMEA region in alignment with global CBT division strategies and ensure continuous business development and sales performance.
- Deliver top-line revenue as defined in the 3-Year Business Plan for the CBT division in the EMEA region.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate competitive intelligence, market data, and sales analysis; monitor market trends and propose strategies to optimize opportunities.
- Monitor and optimize available sales resources; identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising long-term objectives or market share.
- Collaborate with global, regional, and in-country teams to foster relationships and team spirit for the CBT division’s long-term success.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, satisfaction, and quality; build value-added solution selling capabilities and manage C-Level sales engagements.
- Execute Go-to-Market activities, extend market coverage, increase the sales funnel, and implement strategic selling initiatives.
- Oversee the CBT EMEA Sales team and execution of sales programs; ensure alignment with company policies and trade rules, and analyze results to ensure high sales and service performance. Manage system-based working methods (e.g., CRAM).
- Lead human capital and talent management; attract, retain, and develop local and regional talent; perform performance management for the CBT EMEA Sales team.
- Location: one of Höganäs’ German sites (Düsseldorf, Goslar, or Laufenburg); international travel across the EMEA region up to 70%.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; Master preferred; minimum 10 years’ relevant commercial/technical experience.
- Engineering background preferred; strong understanding of Automotive, Energy, and Aviation sectors.
- At least 10 years of commercial leadership experience, ideally as a Sales Director with team responsibility; experience in a matrix organization; multicultural/global perspective a plus.
- Strong commercial acumen; excellent negotiation skills; ability to drive commercial excellence (forecast accuracy, pricing, contract management, global strategic account planning, and customer satisfaction).
- Fluency in English and German; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to drive performance and transformation; agility and resilience to deliver results.
- Customer focus with the ability to create value-added solutions and build partnerships; contribute local insights.
- Leadership: foster open communication, integrity, hire and develop diverse teams; promote equality and diversity.
- Change champion; drive improvement; sustainability mindset and CSR understanding at the local level.
