Overview
Our client is a leading European private equity firm with a proven track record in mid-market buyouts and growth investments across core sectors such as industrials, business services, consumer, healthcare, and technology. With over €10 billion in assets under management and an active presence across the DACH region, the firm continues to strengthen its Munich office as a strategic hub for new investments and portfolio management.
The Vice President will play a central role in the investment team, leading transactions end-to-end, driving value creation within portfolio companies, and contributing to strategic decision-making alongside the Partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of investments, managing due diligence, valuation analysis, and transaction structuring across diverse sectors.
- Develop and refine investment theses through in-depth financial and strategic analysis.
- Manage relationships with advisors, management teams, and co-investors throughout the deal process.
- Prepare investment committee materials and present findings to senior leadership.
- Oversee post-acquisition initiatives, including operational improvement, M&A integration, and performance tracking.
- Support fundraising efforts through portfolio case studies, returns analysis, and investor presentations.
- Mentor and guide Associates and Analysts, ensuring the highest standards of analytical and execution quality.
Candidate Profile
- 5–7 years of total professional experience combining top-tier investment banking or management consulting with hands‑on private equity experience.
- Strong academic background from a leading university or business school.
- Deep understanding of transaction processes, valuation techniques, and financial modelling.
- Track record of contributing to successful investments or portfolio value creation initiatives.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to identify and evaluate growth opportunities and strategic risks.
- Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently within a lean, collaborative environment.
- Willingness to be based in Munich and engage actively in the DACH investment landscape.
