BNY is seeking a VP, POM Product Manager to join our Global Payments & Trade International Payments Team in Frankfurt. You will own international payment products, drive strategy, and manage roadmaps for our European Bank clients.

You will lead cross-functional teams across risk, compliance, and governance, shaping product profitability and market offerings while partnering with sales and operations to deliver value.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or technical field or equivalent work experience.
5–7 years of experience in product ownership or product management for international payments.
Knowledge of Swift, ISO 20022, and European clearings (TARGET2, SEPA).
Understanding of correspondent banking is a plus.

We are seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, POM Product Manager to join our Global Payments & Trade International Payments Team of our European Bank. This role is located in Frankfurt, Germany.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Product Ownership of international payment products, including product strategy, roadmaps, and quarterly initiatives, for our European Bank branch and European Bank clients.
Contribute to the platform's strategic objectives and key results through the use of product-specific data, metrics, and goals
Lead product management, development and strategy for international payment products and solutions for our European Bank and European Bank clients.
Develop ideas for new products. Ensures that risk, regulations, and market conditions are accounted for throughout the life-cycle of developed products.
Collaborate across risk, compliance, legal, and governance as needed for product approvals and product governance activities.
Analyze complex client requirements along with market and industry trends to develop products and solutions that meet clients and industry emerging needs.
Independently manages the development, enhancement, and profitability of assigned products and performs both operational and marketing analysis to ensure profitability and penetration goals are met.
Owns end-to-end of delivery on the pod's outcomes and ensures execution of the pod's roadmap towards objectives by supporting and coaching the pod's team to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the backlog and priorities.
Manages relationship with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc. to ensure different requirements are met during the new product development, enhancement, delivery, strategy, and planning processes.
Employs a client-focused, strategic approach to develop the business case for firm offerings in the marketplace through in-depth and complex analyses on client segments, competitive landscape and industry environment.
Demonstrates in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of assigned products, the marketplace and client needs to drive product growth/development and maximize profitability.
Creates product management roadmaps and establishes evaluation criteria and success metrics. Leads pricing, promotion, distribution strategies and competitive differentiators.
Positions products for specific client segments, highlighting key benefits and competitive advantages.
Engages with Sales and relationship Management in supporting business sales.
Performs technical training, demonstration and develops user guides for clients while also preparing sales materials and training BNY professionals.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking the following:

Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
5-7 years of experience in providing product ownership or product management required for global/international payments products.
Knowledge of Swift, ISO 20022, European Clearings (TARGET2,SEPA)
Understanding of correspondent banking a plus
