Qualifikationen

Position Description :

The Vice President - Global ITO & Managed Services and Strategic Deals (for SBU Germany) is a senior executive role within CGI’s Global Business Engineering (GBE) organization. The position plays a critical role in shaping, qualifying, and winning large, complex, and transformational managed IT and business process services engagements, with a primary focus on Germany and multinational clients headquartered in Germany.

Acting as a trusted advisor to senior CGI leadership and client executives, the role bridges business development, solution engineering, and delivery organizations across CGI’s global network. The Vice President ensures that CGI brings the “best of CGI” to every strategic opportunity, leveraging global capabilities, innovative delivery models, and emerging technologies such as AI, cloud, and digital platforms.

The role operates at executive level, influencing strategy, deal shaping, and governance, and supporting the successful transition of large engagements into delivery.

Your future duties and responsibilities :
  • Serve as executive lead and primary point of contact for large, strategic managed services and business process services opportunities in Germany (typically > €20M annual revenue).
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue both proactive and non-solicited transformational opportunities aligned with CGI’s strategic growth objectives.
  • Shape and drive winning deal strategies from origination through contract closure, acting as an extension of CGI executive leadership.
Solution & Value Proposition Design :
  • Lead the design of innovative, competitive, and differentiated service propositions, including cloud-based models, AI-enabled managed services, and new delivery constructs.
  • Define and articulate compelling value propositions for C-level stakeholders, aligned with client business outcomes.
  • Ensure strong commercial, financial, and contractual structures in collaboration with subject-matter experts.
Global Collaboration & Governance :
  • Orchestrate cross-SBU and cross-geography collaboration, ensuring alignment between local business units, global delivery centers, and corporate functions.
  • Ensure consistent application of CGI’s Management Foundation and Business Engineering Management Framework (BEMF) across pursuits.
  • Support the transition and handover of closed deals into operations, ensuring continuity, clarity, and execution readiness.
Leadership, Coaching & Capability Building :
  • Act as a senior mentor and coach for business engineers, deal leaders, and solution architects.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of Global Business Engineering capabilities, knowledge assets, and standard solution building blocks.
  • Represent Global Business Engineering internally and externally as a thought leader.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
  • Extensive experience in business engineering, strategic deal shaping, or large-scale solution design within IT consulting, managed services, or business process services.
  • Proven executive-level engagement with C-suite stakeholders on complex, multi-million-euro deals.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and closing large, transformational outsourcing or managed services engagements.
  • Deep understanding of managed IT services, global delivery models, and commercial structuring.
  • Exposure to digital transformation initiatives, including cloud, AI, automation, DevOps, and modern sourcing models.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global matrix organization and influence across cultures and seniority levels.
