Hach, based in Düsseldorf, is seeking an R&D Verification Engineer to join the Instrument Development Team. You will design, evaluate, and test water-analysis devices across electrical, mechanical, and software domains while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes verification plans, test execution (manual and automated), data analysis, and communication of results to project teams. English and German proficiency are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering sciences (optics, physics, fluid dynamics, process, electrical or similar).
• Preferably several years in a similar position.
• Knowledge of water analysis methods is useful but not critical.
• Accurate, well organized and eager to learn.

The Opportunity

Based on-site in Düsseldorf within our Instrument Development Team, the Verification Engineer will collaborate broadly with a variety of engineering teams (electrical/mechanical/firmware etc) to design, evaluate, and test components and systems of water analysis devices.

Reporting to the Manager System & Verification , the R&D Verification Engineer is responsible for component- and system tests of water analysis devices within the R&D Team. Your duties and responsibilities include the investigation of analytical methods. This includes hardware, software, chemistry and application tests of the device. With your recorded results and reports in hand, you also contribute to the continuous improvement of our devices and test methods.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelors’ or Master’s degree in engineering sciences (optics, physics, fluid dynamics, process, electrical or similar)
• preferably several years in a similar position. Knowledge of water analysis methods is very useful but not critical
• Accurate, well organized and eager to learn
• A creative problem solver and have the ability to work both independently and in a team
• Excellent communication skills, including English language (advanced) & German (at least B1/B2 minimum)
