Overview

Ready for your next big challenge in a fast paced, international business?

We are looking for a knowledgeable and commercially driven Severe Service Subject Matter Expert (SME) Europe with strong technical expertise and a business development approach to join our Isolation Valve organization.

You will identify critical applications involving abrasive fluids, high temperatures, or high-cycle conditions, and position our heavy-duty valve solutions across oil & gas, power, refining, petrochemical, and mining. Acting as both technical advisor and growth driver, you’ll work with country Champions and Sales teams to build customer trust and capture new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement country-specific sales strategies to achieve targets for severe service valves.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue severe service valve opportunities early in the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with Key Accounts, Outside Sales, country Champions, and quotation teams to drive success.
  • Promote ISV severe service solutions and communicate differentiation to end users, contractors, and OEMs.
  • Provide technical sales support by understanding product specifications, performance criteria, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a severe service pursuit list, lead monthly progress reviews, and monitor opportunity pipelines.
  • Guide the creation of customized sales materials tailored to specific applications, customers, or opportunities.
  • Gather market intelligence, build trust-based relationships with key partners, and act as a “Trusted Advisor” to customers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with severe service or industrial valves, ideally in European / global commercial roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of severe service valve design, materials, and performance.
  • Proven ability to build strategic customer relationships and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Proficiency in English and a local European language.
  • Willingness to travel (up to %).
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work within a complex matrix organization and collaborate across business units.
Location & Travel

The role requires regular travel and close collaboration across our European sites. Ideally, you will be based within easy reach of one European site and close to an international airport. Our locations include Cluj (Romania), Lugagnano (Italy), Madrid (Spain), Mönchengladbach (Germany), Paris (France), Rijswijk (Netherlands), Seregno (Italy), Székesfehérvár (Hungary), and Verviers (Belgium).
