You will lead architecture across Large Solutions, align with SAFe practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver long-term value.

The role emphasizes enterprise architecture leadership, strong communication, and multilingual capabilities (English and French).

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 8 years in Business IT projects with demonstrated software architecture experience.
• Solid PLM, Digital, Flight Test and/or Avionics background.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication; fluency in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Drive the E2E PLM portfolio roadmap as an Enterprise/Functional Architect.
• Define IS convergence strategies for Large Solutions and create an architectural runway.
• Coordinate with Solution Train Engineers and Product Management for delivery.
• Align across multiple ARTs to ensure system integration and standards.
• Lead architecture boards and SAFe ceremonies; govern technical standards.
• Mentor suppliers and scale architectural activities across teams.

Job Description: In order to support Engineering Business, Airbus is looking for a V&V Solution Architect (d/f/m). As part of the "Flight Test and Avionics" Team (DPSF), you will join the Aircraft and Electrical System Product Service Line responsible for developing and maintaining solutions for Flight Test and Avionics. The organization delivers a single, harmonized set of IS/IT tools for Aircraft, Helicopters, and Defense products across non-recurring and recurring lifecycle phases. In this role, you will drive the development and support of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) solutions aligned with Airbus Group Process, Method, and Tools strategies, focusing on Digital Integrated Processes (Authoring) and Engineering Processes.

Your location: You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy. Alternate location is Toulouse, France.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Drive the E2E PLM Portfolio roadmap as an Enterprise/Functional Architect to define IS convergence strategies for Large Solutions.
• Design and communicate a shared technical vision while building the Architectural Runway to sustain long-term business value.
• Partner with Solution Train Engineers and Product Management to steer the operational delivery of the Large Solution.
• Coordinate across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure seamless System Integration and technical alignment.
• Lead architecture boards and facilitate key SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, to govern technical standards.
• Secure project milestones by providing deep functional expertise and contributing to strategic roadmap definitions.
• Manage supplier team performance, providing the leadership and monitoring necessary to scale architectural activities.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in Business IT projects, with proven expertise in Software Architecture and Development.
• Solid background in PLM, Digital, Flight Test, and/or Avionics domains.
• Strong knowledge of Design, Engineering, and Digital Processes.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills to align business partners across complex environments.
• Outstanding communication skills with a proven ability to convey complex technical architectures to diverse audiences.
• Advanced level of English and French.
