UXUI Designer – Intelligent Cockpit – 18-month Leased Labor

Join Huawei’s Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) as a UXUI Designer for an intelligent cockpit system with AI-powered conversational features.

Responsibilities

• Discover and define UXUI opportunities in AI-enabled in-car HMI system, analyzing user values, technology trends, and competitors.
• Deliver creative ideas and high-quality designs individually or with a small team, including user flows, wireframes, UI prototypes, storytelling demos/videos, and presentation documents.
• Convert technical frameworks into implementable user experience and enhance interface usability.

Qualifications

• Master’s or higher degree in UXUI design, HMI/HCI design, product design, multimedia design or equivalent disciplines.
• Experience in automotive HMI design or consumer products UI design; AI interface or voice interface design preferred.
• A portfolio demonstrating proven UX/UI design on real products or pre-development programs.
• Proficiency in UXUI design tools (Figma), video prototyping tools (AE), interactive demo tools (ProtoPie) and PowerPoint; 3D visualization skills a plus.
• Experience building interactive demos and user-testing preferred.
• Experience with generative AI tools for design creation or process preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Enthusiastic to work as part of an international team and fluent in English.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and ability to support the team as an interpreter an advantage.
