The University of Cologne invites applications for up to four Postdoctoral positions in aging research within the CECAD Cluster of Excellence for Aging Research. The roles focus on aging trajectories and interdisciplinary collaboration, hosted by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Applicants should have a PhD in life sciences and a strong track record in aging research, with the position starting 1 January 2027 and lasting until 31 December 2029.

YOUR PROFILE

• PhD in a relevant field of the life sciences (e.g. biology, biomedicine, genetics, molecular biology, or related)
• PhD awarded no more than four years before the start of the position
• Strong scientific track record and motivation for interdisciplinary aging research

RESEARCH SCOPE

Applicants shall submit a research proposal that addresseskey questions related to aging trajectories and demonstratesscientific excellence, innovation, and relevance to CECAD’sresearch profile.The proposed project should align with at least one ofCECAD’s research areas. Interdisciplinary proposals thatintegrate expertise across multiple research areas and fostercollaboration are particularly encouraged.
