Optimus Search Berlin is seeking an Ultrafast Laser Engineer to join our clients' R&D team working on picosecond and femtosecond laser systems for scientific and industrial applications.

You will develop and optimise ultrafast sources, characterize pulse duration and energy, and collaborate with photonics researchers to push performance boundaries.

This role offers permanent or freelance opportunities, and a path to impact in semiconductor processing, medical tech, and precision manufacturing.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with femtosecond and/or picosecond laser systems.
• Knowledge of Chirped Pulse Amplification (CPA) architectures.
• Experience with optical parametric amplifiers (OPA/OPCPA).
• Strong understanding of nonlinear optics and frequency conversion techniques.
• Experience with dispersion management and pulse compression.
• Practical experience with laser diagnostics, optical alignment, and system optimisation.
