An innovative equipment manufacturer is seeking a Technical Support Specialist in Erkrath, Germany. This role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues related to industrial vehicles. Candidates should have several years of experience in technical customer service, a strong technical background in mechatronics or similar fields, and be fluent in German and English. As a trouble shooter in the area of industrial trucks you are the central point of contact for complex technical faults and problems with our vehicles. You will find solutions to technical challenges – both on site at the customers premises and remotely.
Independently analysing (fault diagnoses via remote diagnostic systems or directly at the customers premises) and rectifying complex technical faults on EP Equipment vehicles (e.g. low and high lift trucks, lithium‑ion forklifts, autonomous vehicles).
Supporting our service partners in escalation cases and difficult repairs.
Carrying out fault diagnoses remotely or directly on site at the customer.
Collaborating with product management R&D and the European central warehouse to identify and rectify systemic problems.
Documenting fault patterns, root‑cause analyses and measures in the service portal.
Supporting the further development of service solutions and suggestions for improvement to the development department in China.
Training and technical support for service technicians and partner operations.
Several years of experience in technical customer service or fault diagnosis for industrial trucks, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or related products.
Training in the field of technology – mechatronics, electronics, mechanical engineering or comparable (e.g. industrial mechanic, technician, master craftsman qualification).
Sound knowledge of electrics, hydraulics, drive technology and ideally control technology (e.g. CAN bus, PLC).
Customer‑oriented and independent work, problem‑solving skills and ability to analyse.
Willingness to travel (Europe‑wide for on‑site assignments at the customers premises).
Good written and spoken German and English skills.
