Overview

TRAP Manager at Amentum, Pirmasens, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. This role oversees the TRAP function (tanks, racks, adapters, and pylons) for the USAFE GPMS program, manages the TRAP workforce, serves as the contract technical expert for TRAP, and ensures compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manages and oversees responsibility for all assigned personnel and equipment of the TRAP Department.
  • Ensures maximum resource utilization and conservation.
  • Strictly enforces all applicable directives to the assigned workforce (technical, safety, security, quality, etc.).
  • Advises the Site Operations Manager about TRAP issues, including causes of negative performance trends and personnel issues.
  • Develops and manages production goals and levels in accordance with the PWS.
  • Directs the workload of all assigned personnel per established technical and quality management directives.
  • Establishes, manages, and implements a master schedule of inspections and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) for all assigned TRAP.
  • Manages maintenance of all TRAP equipment to maximum, serviceable standards per USAF technical data, including corrosion control.
  • Coordinates with Supply Department to ensure strict accountability, storage, and availability of all TRAP inventory for maintenance activities.
  • Ensures storage facilities provide maximum environmental protection for all TRAP.
  • Manages the technical order, publications library, and mandatory AFTO Forms files in accordance with T.O.00-5-2 and 00-20 Series, enforcing consistent use by all personnel.
  • Manages timely and accurate completion of all serviceability records.
  • Ensures critical levels of assembled tanks and RAP are available by performing recurring interval inspections per technical data and applicable standards.
  • Manages tool storage, replacement bench, and operational stocks.
  • Manages inspections and maintenance of facilities and installed equipment.
  • Ensures assigned vehicles, equipment, and facilities are maintained.
  • Prepares and submits reports/deliverables to the PMO as requested by the PWS functional manager.
  • Participates in maintenance and inspection activities as workload dictates.
  • Interfaces and coordinates with other functional managers.
  • Continuously reviews safety plans, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Participates in safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Ensures employee safety training and education.
  • Provides leadership, vision, and resources needed for an effective safety and health program.
  • Performs other qualified duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in the relevant area and/or general management is preferred.
  • Must have graduated from a USAF Armament technical school for combat aircraft armament systems/explosives operations.
  • Preferred minimum ten years’ experience with armament systems and explosives operations of diverse combat aircraft; minimum five years required.
  • Minimum five years combined supervisory experience with inspection, maintenance, security, transportation, and storage methods of TRAP equipment and associated hardware.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must have authorization to work in the host country.
Required Baseline Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR an associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR 11 years of recent specialized experience.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands
  • Works in a normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment; may work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the task.
  • Physically capable of performing all duties; able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Must have normal color perception.
  • Must not have any record of emotional instability.
