About The Role

As a Transport Coordinator, you will act as a spider in the web between all parties involved in transport management; Central Transport Planning, Customer service, Supply Service, Warehouse operations and our carriers. You will support the daily transport-planning operations, work with projects/activities to improve the transport management processes and the cooperation between all involved parties. Following up on carrier performance will also be part of your activities and you will contribute to some projects driven by the distribution team (e.g. transport tender, improvement projects). This position will be based in Gothenburg or Falkenberg.

Main Accountabilities And Responsibilities
  • First escalation level in case of transport issues, local go-to person
  • Direct contact between regional Essity business, Central Transport Planning and Carriers (daily operations and troubleshooting)
  • Daily coordination with warehouses
  • Coordination with Customer Service
  • Communication with Supply Service and replenishment hub.
  • Follow up on carrier performance.
  • Service level follow-up (including root cause analysis).
  • Manage none-conformities (processes, systems, carriers, master data) and solve issues during the planning process
  • IT-issue resolution on a day-to-day basis
  • Supports System and Process Developments
  • Review / propose improvements on transport planning scope
What You Need

To be successful in the role you need to be a communicative team-player who operates with a positive and pragmatic can-do attitude. It is also important to be able to handle ambiguity and complexity where you often need to manage several topics in parallel.

  • Preferably 3+ years Transport Management experience with understanding of end-to-end delivery process
  • University degree or apprenticeship in Supply Chain / Transport or equivalent work experience in transport and warehouse operations
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • People management skills
  • Excellent English and Swedish language skills, both written and oral.
  • SAP and Transport Management System (Blue Yonder) key user
  • Business Application Knowledge
  • Supply Chain process and logistics know-how
  • Transport Management
  • Cross-functional understanding
