Tata Communications Limited. - Tcl is seeking an experienced telecommunications professional to contribute to the design, deployment, and optimization of SDH/DWDM/OTN cross-connect networks in Frankfurt.

The role focuses on capacity planning, migration, and ensuring SLA-driven performance within a dynamic service environment. The candidate will engage with transport networks, OSS, and enterprise customers, leveraging experience with U2000 NMS and related equipment to maintain network reliability

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of SDH/DWDM/OTN experience with good discipline and team spirit.
• Graduation in Telecommunications/Electronics.
• Proficient in MS Office with PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of IP networks.
• Cramer Inventory knowledge would be an advantage.

Aufgaben

• In-depth technical knowledge of optical transport systems including OTN, SDH, cross-connect, and signal grooming; understand ring and mesh topologies.
• Experience with SDH, DWDM, and OTN technology for capacity creation and migration.
• Design and planning experience in SDH, DWDM, and OTN systems (high and low level).
• Handle capacity requests for enterprise connections within fixed network and SLA constraints.
• Meet redundancy requirements with protection across MSP, MSPRING, and SNCP; coordinate network design with transport teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, business owners and stakeholders; monitor KPIs and drive improvements.

Jobbeschreibung

Technical Experience:

Proficiency in SDH digital hierarchy is required from fractional T1/E1 to 100G circuit level.

Good Planning knowledge in PDH, SDH, Ethernet, and DWDM systems and Knowledge on transmission network products, like U2000 NMS, Marconi, Nortel and Ciena 6500 equipment s etc.

Ability to devise solutions for various projects like Site, Ring, Legacy equipment optimization and migrations.

Good knowledge on various Telecommunication equipment s.

Knowledge in various products offered by service provider.

Experience to perform following tasks -. creating/editing/deleting distributors, links, nodes and other objects in Cramer

Experience of working in an operational environment & ticketing system alongside other technical and operational teams

Experience of identifying scope for improvement, process reviews and developing and implementing new processes

Commitment to service excellence and customer experience

Flexibility in a rapidly changing and developing environment

Key Responsibilities:

In-depth technical knowledge of optical layer transport systems, OTN, ROADM, SDH, cross connect switching and signal grooming, as well as knowledge of ring and mesh network topologies.

Experience in the field of SDH, DWDM & OTN technology, for creation and migration of transmission bandwidth

High- & Low-level Design and planning experience in SDH, DWDM & OTN systems.

Processing simple /Complex capacity requests for enterprise customer connections within the fixed network (non-redundant) under the Classic service level agreement (SLA) for per capacity request

Processing of capacity request for an enterprise customer connection with / without redundancy.

Meet redundancy requirements with protection across MSP, MSPRING, and SNCP.

Coordinate with various transport network teams to create design access and core network, capacity manage and optimize the network

Create and maintain strong operational relationships with the customers, internal business owners and other key stakeholders

Maintain a proactive approach to operational and service issues, ensuring KPIs, SLAs, service qualities are met. Review of KPIs and drive Improvement plan development and implementation

Management of operational issues by understanding impact, identifying solution options, liaising with technical team and business owners.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in SDH/DWDM/OTN with good discipline, winning attitude and keep on trying to achieve a team goal mentality.

Graduation in Telecommunications/ Electronics.

Proficient in MS Office Suite with good skills in PowerPoint and Excel.

Good communication and Interpersonal skill.

Basic knowledge on IP networks.

Relevant domain certifications and Cramer Inventory knowledge would be an advantage
