Key Responsibilities

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the School Age Care program.

To plan, develop, organize, and oversee the long-range and day-to-day operation of a comprehensive school-age childcare program consisting of such activities as before and after school care, full day care/camp, and school holiday care/camp for youth 5-12 years of age.

DUTIES: Develops, coordinates, and implements activities, programs, and special events, consistent withprogramobjectives and in accordance with health, safety, and security standards for the School Age Careprogram. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the School Age Care program ensuring that the programcomplies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develops goals andobjectives thatintegrate organization and School Age Care objectives.

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Monitors training staff and volunteers according to established policies and procedures. Represents the School Age Care program with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
