Job summary

Horizon Technology Recruitment represents a telecommunications infrastructure company seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to own the structural integrity of its mast and tower portfolio, covering assessment, modification and standards development.

You will review inspection reports, perform structural analyses, coordinate external partners, prepare technical reports, and contribute to internal standards and documentation. Fluent German and good English are requested.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or structural engineering or closely related discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in structural design, ideally involving telecommunications masts, steel structures or construction supervision.
• Strong knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design and Eurocodes.
• Experience producing structural calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in structural analysis software, CAD tools and office applications.

Responsibilities

A telecommunications infrastructure company is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to take ownership of the structural integrity of its mast and tower portfolio, working across assessment, modification and standards development.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection reports for masts and towers and recommend appropriate repair or maintenance measures.
• Carry out structural analyses and verifications for masts, antenna supports and foundations using calculation methods and structural analysis software.
• Coordinate external engineering partners and mast suppliers and ensure their work meets the company's technical requirements.
• Prepare technical reports covering strengthening and modification works, including adjustments to masts and foundations.
• Assess incoming engineering requests, define the scope of work and document the outcome in technical reports.
• Produce and check construction and modification drawings in collaboration with the drafting team.
• Maintain accurate technical asset data to support commercial and customer-facing teams.
• Contribute to the development of internal standards, guidelines, processes and technical documentation.
• Work with IT and business functions to develop technical tools, and ensure infrastructure documentation is filed in line with applicable standards.

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering, structural engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in structural design, ideally involving telecommunications masts, steel structures or construction supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design and the relevant Eurocodes.
• Hands-on experience producing structural calculations, construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Confident user of structural analysis software, CAD tools and standard office applications.
• Structured, analytical and reliable way of working with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to organise and prioritise effectively.
• Recognised structural engineering certification is an advantage.
• Professional fluency in German, with good English.
