Job summary

Exyte is seeking a Trade Manager Wastewater Technology to take technical responsibility for the wastewater treatment area and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations with the team at the site.

You will lead technical staff, coordinate maintenance and projects, and maintain strict health & safety standards while liaising with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in wastewater, plant, utilities, or operations technology.
• Meister or State-Certified Technician (Techniker) is desirable but not required.
• Professional experience in a technical environment, ideally in wastewater treatment, plant engineering, or operations technology.
• Initial experience in leadership and coordination of employees is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, plant operations, and safe handling of chemicals.
• Independent, responsible, solution-oriented work style with strong communication & organizational skills.
• Business-fluent German skills, at least C1 level.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and coordinate employees within the wastewater treatment area, including workforce and resource planning.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers, employees, and internal stakeholders, while coordinating administrative and organizational matters within your area of responsibility.
• Coordinate and monitor operational, maintenance, and repair activities for wastewater treatment systems.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, quality, and safety requirements, particularly when handling chemicals.
• Plan and coordinate plant shutdowns, start-ups, system modifications, as well as new and recommissioning activities.
• Prepare and review work instructions, forms, plans, and risk assessments, while continuously optimizing workflows and processes.

• Initial experience in the technical leadership and coordination of employees is an advantage
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety, plant operations, and the safe handling of chemicals
• Independent, responsible, and solution-oriented working style combined with strong communication and organizational skills
• Business-fluent German skills, at least C1 level
