Job summary

WSA – Wonderful Sound for All invites applications for a Bachelor's or Master's thesis student in Erlangen, Germany. You will develop and analyze algorithms in signal processing and hearing aid development.

The role includes conducting literature reviews, optimizing solutions, and performing audio measurements with prototypes. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in audio signal processing and coding skills in MATLAB, along with proficiency in both German and English.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Audiology, Medical Engineering, Computer Science, Acoustics, or similar fields.
• Strong knowledge of audio signal processing.
• Programming experience, particularly with MATLAB.
• Independent and reliable working style, with a passion for development and experimentation.
• Proficiency in both German and English.

• Conduct literature reviews, implement, extend, and refine algorithms under guidance.

Join our dynamic R&D team as a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis student and contribute to advancements in signal processing and hearing aid development. You will independently develop and analyze small algorithms in areas such as:

Your Role

• Adaptive algorithms
• Noise reduction
• Classification techniques
• Microphone array processing
• Acoustic source localization
• Feedback suppression
• Accelerometer integration
• Audio coding for speech and music

Key Responsibilities
