Lufthansa Aviation Training Pilot Academy GmbH seeks an experienced theory or flight instructor to teach Airbus and military flight theory as part of the German Air Force’s Initial Flight Training. You will educate cadets across aircraft engineering, propulsion, navigation, air law and meteorology at Rostock-Laage.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience as a theory or flight instructor in civilian or military pilot training.
• A college degree in aviation or related fields is required.
• Experience in teaching and adult education is preferred.
• Ability to clearly explain complex topics and motivate learners.
• Very good English skills; MS Office proficiency.

Aufgaben

• Teach subjects in the Initial Flight Training program (engineering, propulsion, navigation, air law, communication, meteorology, human performance).
• Lay the foundation for further training within a complex system and work with cadets who undergo four weeks of theoretical training before first flight hours.
• Collaborate with instructors and staff to support a structured training pathway and assessment.

Do you want to teach highly motivated Air Force flight cadets the fundamentals of aviation theory?

Tasks

• You will teach various subjects as part of the German Air Force’s basic flight training (Initial Flight Training)
• In doing so, you will lay the foundation for further training within a complex training system and work with young officers and officer candidates who undergo four weeks of theoretical training in classes of approximately 8 students before completing their first flight hours
• The subjects taught include: aircraft engineering and propulsion, navigation, air law, communication, meteorology, human performance limitations, aerodynamics, and aircraft performance

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a theory or flight instructor in civilian or military pilot training, or
• A college degree in at least one of the fields listed above
• Preferably several years of experience in teaching and instruction
• Experience in adult education
• Teaching skills
• Ability to clearly explain complex topics
• Interpersonal skills
• Skill in guiding and motivating people
• Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with new tasks
• Very good English skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
