ALTEN is seeking an experienced aerospace engineer to define DO-160 environmental test procedures and develop qualification plans for airborne systems. You will coordinate testing with internal and external stakeholders and prepare certification evidence for EASA, FAA, and military programs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or Mechatronics.
• At least five years’ aerospace/defence experience.
• Strong RTCA DO-160 knowledge and environmental qualification testing.
• Experience writing test plans and documenting compliance for airborne systems.
• Familiar with EASA, FAA, or military aerospace regulatory processes.
• Experience with DOORS and MS Office.
• Independent, structured, ownership minded in challenging projects.
• Fluent English (C1).

• Develop comprehensive environmental qualification test plans (temperature, altitude, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, lightning, HIRF).
• Plan and coordinate qualification and compliance testing with stakeholders.
• Prepare test reports, compliance matrices, and certification evidence for EASA, FAA, and military programs.
• Ensure traceability of requirements and test results within DOORS.
• Coordinate suppliers, test labs, and certification teams to execute activities.
• Support audits and demonstrate compliance to customers and authorities.

Job Description

• YOU... define and review DO-160 compliant environmental test procedures for airborne systems and components, including test parameters, acceptance criteria, and expected results
• develop comprehensive environmental qualification test plans covering temperature, altitude, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, lightning, and HIRF testing
• plan, coordinate, and support qualification and compliance testing activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• prepare test reports, compliance matrices, and certification evidence for EASA, FAA, and military certification programs
• ensure full traceability of requirements, test results, and deviations within DOORS, maintaining audit readiness throughout the certification lifecycle
• coordinate suppliers, test laboratories, and certification teams to successfully execute qualification and compliance activities
• support internal and external audits and contribute to demonstrating compliance to customers and regulatory authorities

Qualifications

• YOU... hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline
• have at least five years of professional experience within the aerospace or defence industry
• possess strong knowledge of RTCA DO-160 and hands-on experience in environmental qualification testing
• have experience developing test plans, defining test procedures, and documenting compliance for airborne systems
• are familiar with certification and regulatory processes within EASA, FAA, or military aerospace environments
• have practical experience working with DOORS and the Microsoft Office suite
• work independently, in a structured manner, and take ownership in a challenging project environment
• communicate fluently in English (minimum C1 level)
• are willing to meet project-specific security and confidentiality requirements and to undergo the corresponding security clearance process
