Black Semiconductor in Aachen seeks a Technician (f/m/d) to join our on-site team. The role targets candidates who have completed or are completing vocational training in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

You will work with automated equipment in our semiconductor production environment and support AMHS maintenance, learning on the job with training provided. Strong safety ethic and teamwork are essential.

• Assist installation, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades with engineering teams and vendors.
• Follow procedures and safety requirements, maintain records and spare-parts information.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and technical records.

The Role

Black Semiconductor is looking for a motivated Technician (f/m/d) to join our on-site team in Aachen.

This position is particularly well suited to candidates who have recently completed or are about to complete vocational training (Ausbildung), an apprenticeship, technical diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.

You will work with automated equipment used in our semiconductor production environment and support the maintenance and reliable operation of Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS).

No previous semiconductor or AMHS experience is required. You will receive the necessary training and support to learn the equipment and develop your technical skills.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment and AMHS systems.

• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and basic control-system issues.

• Monitor equipment, respond to alarms, and help restore equipment operation to minimize production downtime.

• Support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrade of equipment together with engineering teams and external vendors.

• Follow technical procedures, safety requirements, and cleanroom standards.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and spare-parts information.

Your Profile

• Completed or soon-to-be-completed vocational training (Ausbildung), apprenticeship, technical diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, or automated systems.

• Strong technical interest and willingness to learn new equipment and technologies.

• Ability to follow technical instructions and work carefully and safely.

• Ability to work in confined spaces and, when required, at heights of up to 4 meters.

• Good communication and teamwork skills, with good German and English communication skills.
