What you can expect

By establishing best-in-class documentation practices—from deep reference material to engaging tutorials—you’ll empower developers and decision-makers alike to adopt and extend our NVD technology with confidence.

• Develop Comprehensive User Documentation: Craft clear, structured user guides and API references for our C++ (and mapped Java) libraries using AsciiDoc and Antora.
• Ensure modular content that allows “Getting Started” and deep-dive sections to share consistent core material.

Responsibilities

• Create Tutorials & Quick-Start Guides: Build step-by-step walkthroughs that help developers onboard quickly with our tools and libraries. Collaborate with engineers to package fully runnable, up-to-date sample projects that are easy to clone and explore.
• Write White Papers & Executive Overviews: Prepare concise white papers that clearly communicate the value, architecture, and use cases of our NVD technology. Tailor language and depth to a non-developer audience while keeping technical accuracy intact.
• Collaborate with Developers: Conduct regular interviews and review sessions with internal NVD experts to gather detailed specifications and examples. Work closely with the API and C++ Core Teams to document new features as they’re developed.
• Improve Templates & Documentation Processes: Refine our AsciiDoc / Antora templates to define consistent structures—headers, footers, cross-references, and version labels.
• Establish a Git-based review process with merge requests, style checks, and automated preview builds.
• Manage Versioned Releases: Organize documentation in line with our semantic versioning strategy: archive older content and publish updates alongside each new release. Include migration guides and release notes with each version to ensure clarity and continuity.
• Measure & Iterate on Quality: Collect user feedback to improve documentation clarity and coverage. Maintain a prioritized backlog of improvements based on insights from real-world usage and user understanding.

Your Profile

You should bring most of the following with you :

• Technical Writing Expertise in English and German
• Proven track record crafting clear, concise user guides, tutorials, and quick-start materials for developer audiences
• Ability to write both in-depth technical documentation and high-level overviews (e.g. white papers for decision-makers)
• Authoring Tools & Platforms
• Hands-on experience with AsciiDoc and Antora (or similar static-site doc generators)
• Familiarity with maintaining modular, reusable content in a Git-based workflow
• API & Code Sample Literacy
• Comfortable reading C++ and Java code to extract snippets and build runnable examples
• Ability to work with developers to design, test, and package sample projects
• Collaboration & Learning Agility
• Strong interviewing skills to elicit domain knowledge about NVD from our experienced developers
• Ability to quickly ramp up on complex technologies
• Process & Versioning
• Experience organizing documentation around versioned releases
• Excellent English writing, editing, and structuring skills—able to produce and refine a company style guide

• No "must have", but nice and helpful :
• Prior experience writing white papers or analyst-style overviews for technical decision-makers
• Familiarity with API reference tools (Swagger / OpenAPI, Doxygen)
• Exposure to localization workflows and internationalization considerations
• Basic skills in simple graphic creation (diagrams, flowcharts)
