Responsibilities

Technical support of customers within long‑term service contracts in the field of process automation for industrial plants (e.g., steel plant applications / continuous casting systems).
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis, software error correction, execution of system upgrades and migrations, and preparation of documentation.
Close cooperation with customers and internal departments to optimise automation processes.
Act as an interface between service, development, and customers – direct customer support and development of sustainable solutions.
Support software development teams with practical feedback and insights from operations.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering (e.g., computer science, automation engineering, electrical engineering) or a comparable qualification.
Practical experience in process automation of industrial plants – pure software development background is not sufficient.
Strong knowledge in software development with C#, C++, and WPF for user interfaces.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle DB, SQL) and data analysis.
Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., GIT).
Excellent English language skills (C1 or higher); German is a plus.
Willingness to travel internationally for customer projects.
